“In March 2004 Andrew Jones and I, representing The University of Mississippi, were honored with ‘Best Company’ at the Babcock Elevator Competition for our company Vino del Sol. Less than 18 months later, Vino del Sol has sales of its Argentine wines in hundreds of locations throughout 15 states, and our sales are growing every month. This success would have been impossible without the Babcock Elevator Competition, and the Babcock Elevator Competition would have been impossible without the great help from Ole Miss.

Student support funds make it possible for students to travel to industry events and professional competitions. These funds also help bring top industry leaders to speak to classes. Your investment will help make it possible for the Ole Miss business school to expose its students to industry leaders and the challenges of the global business environment.

Student support funds are also used to expand and enhance the various business school Career Day events. In 2005, the school hosted individual career days for three major programs: banking and finance, insurance and risk management and the MBA program.

With your generous support, we hope to expand the exposure our students receive to the business community and increase the number of specialized career days to include each major offered in the business school.
