Submitting a Workorder
Please note that your problem will be assigned and addressed according to the following priorities:
- Problems that affect the entire network.
- Problems that affect a class in session.
- Problems that affect multiple faculty/staff, ordered by the severity of the impact on productivity.
- Problems that affect one faculty/staff, ordered by the severity of the impact on productivity. Staff usually take priority because they normally service multiple people.
- Problems that affect doctoral students.
- Problems that affect MBA students.
- Problems that affect anyone else.
• IT workers may not enter offices unless user is present
• If you would like the work to be done even if you are out of your office please note that in the workorder.
• IT workers may not touch equipment that is not University property.
To create a work order: The best way to create a work order is to send an email message to help@bus.olemiss.edu. Include a description of the problem, permission (or not) for student workers to enter your office without you being present, and a schedule of when you will be available for someone to look at the problem.
